We have “bookends!”

Two Century Club Ribbons from two Century Club rides on two different horses. After my ride on Mister Mo in October 2021, I thought, “Why not take Ms Imperial Robin for a spin to achieve another milestone for us both?”

It took almost two years in the making, but we finally did our dressage test on July 20th, 2023. I had a small group of friends who were snapping away with their cameras/phones. The results were not the best photos, but we managed to salvage a few that were not out of focus. Unfortunately, there was not one photo with Robin and her ribbon, but both ribbons are well displayed on the kitchen buffet.

The day was hot and sticky, and the flies were relentless. Robin had an armor of fly spray on her, and still they landed. The ride was bumpy and not as smooth as desired, but we completed our test and received our ribbon! 

I am a ribbon hound, so this was my goal. Robin’s goal was to stop practicing these moves over and over. So, the pressure was off, and we just rode for the fun of it. 

I can now focus on my painting, stained glass, mosaics, and other creative projects that have been patiently waiting for me to return at full attention. Perhaps even spend more time with my family, friends, and community projects.
