There are many “positives” to TDF’s Century Club. Magic and I are honored to be members. It’s that energizing feeling of something special for you and your horse to look forward to completing. Fortunately, we had the schooling show at Topeka Round Up Club (our home club). Great weather, wonderful friends, many memories of lessons, and the wonderful horses that have shared the journey.

My wonderful partner is Sierra’s Magic Touch.  A half-Arabian I have owned for 14 years. She carries the blood of *Witez II, *El Paso, and *Morafic. This kind and willing mare is everything and then some regarding the positive attributes of the Arabian horse.

Last fall Magic had a difficult time with laminitis and Cushing’s disease.  With the care of our veterinarian and the skill of our farrier, Magic was sound after six months of recuperation.

Preparing for this special event has been energizing for both of us! It truly “takes a village” to reach this goal. Our ride was held at Topeka Round Up Club’s Dressage Schooling Show. We did WDAA Intro Test 3. We earned one of our best scores ever.

A wonderful part of this day was receiving this honor from my friend Joanna Stamm. Our friendship of 40-plus years and shared interest in dressage are incredible.

Thank you to TDF for this program that salutes perseverance and promotes the relationship of horse and rider on the never-ending journey of learning.

It was a very special day for Magic and me.
