This year I completed three Century Club rides. I’ve now done a total of 10 rides since my first one in 2013 on my off-the-track Thoroughbred, Slick. Two of these years’ rides were done using my own horses and one was borrowed from a friend.
I’ve opted to do virtual showing for my latest rides. It’s easier on the older horses not having to trailer and the cost is more economical.
Ride #793 was Universal Patch, a Morgan gelding that is a super school horse used in my lesson program. Ride #794 was RFrodo, a Warmblood gelding that I trained and showed through Third Level and received my USDF bronze medal. Ride #813 was Charisma, a Connemara mare who is a treasured school horse owned by a friend who generously loaned her to me for ride number ten.
Next year I hope to complete two additional rides which would make a dozen rides in a dozen years! I’m not planning on hanging up my tack after that, but think 2025 might be a wrap for Century Club rides. I’m running out of wall space for the beautiful Dressage Foundation plaques!
