I have been fortunate to be a professional in the dressage world for over 50 years. I consider it an honor to be doing something I love. I started by acquiring my Instructors Certification at Huntlea Horse Center in Lynnville, Tennessee. I ran Heartwood Farm in Ashaway, Rhode Island, for many years as head trainer and instructor.
I then built my own farm, Greystone Farm, in North Stonington, Connecticut, where I ran a very successful training and teaching facility for approximately 20 years. I now run Lollipop Farm with my dear husband here in Brooklyn (the quiet corner of Connecticut).
I have studied extensively with Louise Nathhorst (member of the Swedish Olympic team), Eric Horgan, Kathy Connelly, Pam Goodrich, Eva Rainsborough, Niall Quirk, and Bill Warren. I hold clinics starring Miguel Anacoreta as I am competing at Grand Prix with my Andalusian gelding, Capitan C.
Shine, who I competed on for my Century Club ride, is my favorite horse! I watched his birth and as they always say not to, touched him before his mother did. He and I bonded, and I won state and national awards on him in every level up through Prix St. Georges, then he blew out his suspensory. I retired him for a while but watching him trot out to the field one day I thought he looked sound! He has been back in work as a schoolmaster ever since. My life is a joy, and my horses are a blessing.
