Parette and I have enjoyed a 19-year relationship during which she helped me learn the basics of dressage.  While those years were fraught with long periods of rehabilitation from multiple tendon injuries, a broken bone, and a diagnosis in her teens of PPID, Parette offered me the opportunity to obtain my USDF silver medal and finally, the Century Club ride.  She has earned a well-deserved rest.
