For my 50th birthday, I finally realized my dream of having my own horse and began learning dressage with my first schoolmaster, Daniel Webster. Riding and equine friendship became a wonderful lifestyle and a way for me to de-stress from my work as a psychologist.
Elegido, a P.R.E. Horse, and I met each other 15 years ago. I did not have access to consistent training until this past year and had never ridden a full dressage test or entered a show. When my friend told me about the Century Club, it became a great goal and a way to honor the journey of our equine partnership. Elegido is my heart horse, a kind, willing, sensitive, intelligent gentleman with the forward energy of a race car. At our ages of 27 and 73, it is my hope that we will have a Century Club ride “plus” next year as well. Thank you to The Dressage Foundation for this wonderful opportunity!
