Many years ago, when a neighbor who was an S dressage judge was going to do her Century Ride, I hadn’t been aware of the existence of this program. I certainly never dreamed of the day when I might be doing the same. I consider myself a breeder that rides, not a rider that breeds. I was thrilled to have a safe, sane and well-trained horse that would be my partner. My half Arabian/Warmblood 2000 mare Meika ++ is by my purebred Arabian stallion Taez+// who was trained to Grand Prix by Chelsey Sibley. Meika ++ has an extensive show record in hand, under saddle and over fences, I have a very short one in the show ring. This was only my second judged dressage test although I’ve had many dressage lessons over the years and have been a member of USDF for almost 30 years. The combination of our ages is 102 years. I thoroughly enjoyed training for my ride and would like to continue training for a rated show.
