2022 Shannon Foundation Fund for Judges' Licensing Recipient: Robin Birk (PA)

As the 2022 recipient of The Shannon Foundation Fund for Judges’ Licensing, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for receiving this generous grant. Words alone cannot express my sincerest appreciation to the TDF Board and all that have donated to The Dressage Foundation for making this grant possible as it has provided a life changing and meaningful educational experience.  We all know that hard work really pays off, but sometimes we can all use a little help. During the past year, this grant has provided me with supplemental financial support to participate in more judge’s apprentice sessions than I would otherwise have been able to afford on my own. Because of this grant and these learning experiences, I am confidently ready for my upcoming R Judges examination in February 2023.  

Thanks to The Dressage Foundation, I will be ringing my judge’s bell to share my knowledge with competitors while giving back to our dressage community. I hope everyone will take the time to read about the numerous types of TDF grants available and will donate generously to support the TDF and our sport of dressage.
