2021 Shannon Foundation Fund for Judges' Licensing Recipient: Tegan Kossowicz

As a NEDA 'r' judge candidate from the West Coast/California, TDF's grant really helped a lot to cover my costs in August 2021 for the start of my 'r' judging program.  My expenses included coast to coast airfare, hotel, car rental, food and gas.  NEDA's wonderful 'r' judging program was organized by Sally Davenport with lecturer Lisa Schmidt and held in Saugerties, NY.  

My NEDA 'r' judging program consists of qualified candidates from all over the United States - it was wonderful to finally meet them.  We all continue to work closely together in organizing and getting together for our 'r' judging program apprenticeship programs.  I have no doubt that we will stay well-connected during our judging careers.

Again, thank you so much for the TDF grant - it went a long way to help me pay for the initial weekend of NEDA's 'r' judging program!

Shannon Fund

The purpose of the Shannon Foundation Fund for Judges’ Licensing is to provide financial support to dressage judges to participate in activities related to obtaining a judging license of “recorded” (‘small r’) or higher. 

The amount of the grants can vary depending on the need and request of the applicants but are at least $1,000. One or more grants will be available each year to qualified applicants, chosen by an independent selection committee.

Applications are due March 15th.
