"Fawn was a Trakehner mare I bought as a 2-year-old and trained under Walter Zettl's guidance to do all the Grand Prix movements.  It took until she was 16 for me to be able to use her as a schoolmaster for Houghton College equestrian students, when she finally realized humans made mistakes and she was teaching them!  After that, she took joy in that job and helped me prepare the students for wonderful jobs for 12 more years.  Now her son, Fringe Benefit, is following in her hoof prints."
