Rebecca Hafner-Fogarty (MN)

Dr. Rebecca Hafner-Fogarty received her BA in biology from the College of St. Benedict, her MD from the University of North Dakota, and her MBA in healthcare administration from the University of St. Thomas.
She had an extensive career as a primary care physician practicing in rural Minnesota communities and later serving as Medical Director of St. John’s Abbey and University. After retiring from clinical practice, Dr. Hafner-Fogarty spent over 20 years leading start-up and growth stage med-tech companies.
Throughout her career, she has served on several NFP boards including the Minnesota Joint Underwriting Association, and multiple appointments to the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. While serving on the board of Friendship Ventures, she helped to start a therapeutic riding program for physically and mentally challenged children and adults.
Dr. Hafner-Fogarty has spent a lifetime “hooked on horses”----riding backyard horses as a young 4-Her and helping to start her college equestrian program. As an adult she has been a horse owner, a horse show and USDF volunteer and a “horse show mom” to a medal winning Young Rider who has benefited from multiple TDF programs and grants. Serving on the board is a wonderful opportunity to give back to TDF.
